Even if you're pursuing a major in another department, you will benefit from earning our technical writing certificate or minor.
Is it really worth the extra work? Absolutely!
In a competitive job market and an economic downturn, you should take every opportunity to distinguish yourself from the competition. There's no substitution for clear, ethical, and assessable writing; a certificate or minor in technical writing perfectly complements a degree in engineering, biology, chemistry, or computer science. The certificate or minor title will appear on your official university transcript, so you can provide your new employer proof of completion.
