Dr. Lisa Jackson brings a unique blend of practical corporate experience coupled with academic scholarship to her classroom. She strives to combine these skills in order to prepare students to enter the workforce. Dr. Jackson has ten years of corporate management experience, and served for many years as the graduate advisor for the English department at UNT.
Dr. Jackson received her Ph.D. in English from UNT in 2000. Her field of specialization is 19th-century British literature, with a particular focus on the works of Charles Dickens. She has been published in Dickens Studies Annual and was a contributor to the Oxford New Dictionary of National Biography. She is a certified web master who has helped to write and design a number of websites. Dr. Jackson has forged a working relationship with Habitat for Humanity, which has resulted in numerous ongoing projects for students in the LTC Department.
