2011

Ann Cagle (MA, ESL) is the Assistant Director and an ESL instructor at Elite Language Institute in Dallas.

Maite Martínez García (MA, ESL) is a graduate student at the University of Kansas, pursuing her Ph.D. in neurolinguistics and second language acquisition. She also TAs for an introductory course in linguists called "Language and Mind."

Kelly McGill (MA, ESL) currently teaches ESL at the American Learning Institute in Dallas, TX. The two-year-old school is working toward its accreditation and the majority of the students are Korean and Japanese. Currently, Kelly is teaching Level 4 Reading/Writing and Level 3 Listening/Speaking.

Elizabeth Schalchlin (MA, ESL) currently works for languagelab.com, teaching ESL in a virtual environment (Second Life).

2010

Irina Berger (MA, ESL) is currently an ESL Instructor at the English Language Center at University of Denver in Denver, Colorado.

Shannon Jauregui (MA, LING) is currently the Director of External Relations for the UNT College of Business.

2009

Ayman Mohamed (MA, LING) is studying linguistics at Michigan State where he has received a Graduate Assistantship. About presenting at Michigan State in October 2009, Ayman says, "I had a strong feeling that I would be completing my PhD degree there". Ayman is interested in figuring out why for some learners specific grammatical rules are never mastered for active use even though those same rules exist in those speakers' passive linguistic knowledge.

2008

Amber Dunai (MA, LING) is pursuing a Ph.D. in English focusing on Medieval literature and Old & Middle English at Texas A&M. Of UNT and LTC, Amber says, "In my time at UNT I have not only received a great education from a very talented and supportive faculty, but I have also had the opportunity to gain experience in higher education through my time as a Teaching Assistant and later as a Teaching Fellow."

Valeriya Tsogoeva (MA, LING) works as an English teacher in Mexico at Instituto Universitario Franco Ingles de Mexico.

2007

Kristopher Geda (MA, LING) is entering his final year of his linguistics doctoral program at the University of Pittsburgh; he is also earning graduate certificates in East Asian Studies and Women's and Gender Studies. His dissertation will examine the ways that young adult gay men in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area make varying use of gay-sounding speech features as they take stances toward themselves, their interlocutors, and their communities.

Melody Trowell (MA, LING) works as an online instructional designer at Dallas Christian College.

2005

Lisa McCreary (MA, ESL) teaches English at a private institute in Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan, Iraq. From 2006 to 2010, Lisa taught English four different times in Iraq—twice in Baghdad with the US Department of Defense, once for the US State Department, and then as a private contractor.
